Krystle Pohl, RPA-C, ATC

After earning her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training/Exercise Science from Ithaca College Krystle worked in the Hudson Valley as an athletic trainer in sports medicine. She has held positions at the State University of New York’s College at New Paltz and with several sports camps at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Krystle’s connections with the Orthopedics & Sports Medicine family began when she was a young athlete. She was a competitive gymnast locally and a graduate of Valley Central High School. Her interest in sports led to her goals of becoming an orthopedic physician assistant.

Early on in her career, she established a professional relationship with the Orthopedics & Sports Medicine team as an athletic trainer and then later as a medical assistant. She left to continue her studies and eventually attend Pace University Lenox Hill Hospital’s Physician Assistant Program.

Krystle represented her peers as class president and was also an active member of the Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.  She graduated with her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and earned the Physician Assistant Leadership Award.

Krystle is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the New York State Society of Physician Assistants, and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two Labrador Retrievers.
